We took wedding guests aboard vibrant trajinera boats in Xochimilco, drifting slowly along the storied Aztec canals. The day began with a cacao ceremony, its warm, earthy aroma filling the air as intentions were shared and the couple’s union was blessed. As the boats glided beneath arches of golden marigolds, petals lined the floor, guiding guests to a lunch served on board. Guests savored handmade tortillas, fresh salsas, and regional delicacies as mariachis and music filled the day with laughter, toasting to the couple.
